Miami Police's chief blood spatter analyst is killing for two.
Dexter Morgan, played by Michael C. Hall, returns for a fourth season this month. Many eager fans want to know what dearly devoted Dexter is doing this season as he has married his girlfriend, Rita, played by Julie Benz, and they have a son, Harrison, together. Dearly Devoted DexterWhile late nights are nothing new for Dexter Morgan, this season is something else entirely, bringing viewers back to reminiscent scenes in season 3 where Dexter was almost discovered as being the serial killer tagged The Bay Harbor Butcher after a multitude of bodies he'd disposed of had been uncovered. Only this time it's affecting his work, which is evident when a murderer ends up on Dexter's hit list because his trial had been dismissed as a result of Dexter being unprepared for court. With a New Season Comes a New EnemyFans of "Third Rock From the Sun" and "Footloose" will be thrilled to find John Lithgow in the premier episode as The Trinity Killer- the most successful living serial killer- having received his name by killing in threes before moving on to another location. The Trinity Killer does his work quite deviously, working more like an assassin so as not to leave evidence of a murder so much as a suicide.....maybe. With a New Killer Comes Old FriendsFans of season 2 will remember well the FBI's foremost hunter of serial killers, Special Agent Frank Lundy, played by Keith Carradine. The special agent is now retired and in Miami looking for "the one that got away." Lundy had discovered The Trinity Killer 15 years prior, but the FBI did not believe he existed. Dexter discovers an eerily similar death dating back twice as long. As always, the cast is filled with familiar faces. Dexter's sister, Deb Morgan, played by his real-life wife Jennifer Carpenter, is still working hard as a homicide detective while trying to find out if her father had been unfaithful to her mother with one of his informants. Additionally, fellow blood spatter analyst, Vince Masuka, police Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta, Detective Angel Batista, and deceased father, Harry Morgan (played by James Remar) are all on board for another season of thrills, intrigue, and excitement. For those who simply cannot wait until Sept. 27 to see the first episode, click here and enjoy. All in all, this new season of Dexter looks like it is going to be the most complicated yet. Or, as MSNBC put it, it looks "bloody promising." Dexter is up against an opponent who is uniquely superior in the longevity of his career. Lieutenant LaGuerta and Detective Batista are beginning to see each other romantically. Deb is still involved with her most recent love interest, Anton, a former police informant. And now, Frank Lundy is back in the picture, closer than Dexter or Deb is comfortable with. BDN101
